Position Profile

Right now we are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to work with our Operating Room, Surgical Program.

Employment Status: Permanent Full-TimeHours of Work: 8 hour shifts on weekdays, evenings and/or weekends, including on call weekends, nights and statutory holidays - subject to change as per Article 3 - Management RightsLocation: Hennick Humber Hospital, Wilson Site Labour Group: NOWUReporting Relationship: Manager, Operating RoomHourly Rate: $38.893 - $39.458

  • Scrubbing duties
  • Functions as part of the surgical team

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
  • Current Registered Practical Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Operating Room Certificate required and 2 years recent operating room experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated scrubbing competence in all surgical services.
  • Demonstrated good organizational skills and problem solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
