Job Description:Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. This role involves direct patient and family care while ensuring safe, effective, and age-appropriate nursing practices for patients ranging from neonates to geriatric populations. The Registered Nurse supports quality patient outcomes, promotes professional nursing standards, and contributes to a collaborative healthcare environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Provide direct patient care and monitor patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare staff, patients, and families to ensure quality care delivery.
- Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
- Advocate for patient rights, ethical standards, and patient dignity.
- Deliver age-appropriate care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as required.
- Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement activities.
- Demonstrate leadership and teamwork within the clinical environment.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and hospital policies.
- Respond effectively in emergency and critical care situations.
- Utilize clinical judgment and problem-solving skills to support patient treatment plans.
- Promote a positive and professional patient care environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and specialty training programs.
Minimum Requirements / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department nursing experience required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Infection Control and Barrier Precaution training required.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced healthcare settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in patient documentation and data entry systems.
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical nursing standards, and compassionate care.
