Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program required.
• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Competency in crisis intervention and emergency medical care required.
• Ability to perform nursing diagnoses and follow through with treatment independently.
• Familiarity with departmental software and computer systems needed.
• Valid AZ Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and refer medical issues to the physician when necessary.
• Conduct thorough physical assessments and document patient histories.
• Monitor and evaluate patient symptoms and progress, communicating issues to Physicians.
• Administer medications securely and prevent drug hoarding or trafficking.
• Ensure medications are given as prescribed to each patient.
• Educate patients on chronic illnesses and post-treatment care.
• Oversee LPN staff workflow and contribute to their performance evaluations.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and document all patient interactions.
