Summary:

This is a Temporary (13-week) Full-time, 36 hour/week, Day shift position.

Unit Bio:

Pen Bay Hospital operates 3 busy operating rooms, and averages 300 cases per month. Cases included general surgery, GYN, urology, ENT, eye surgery and orthopedics. Our ORs are staffed weekdays until 4:30 pm.

Surgical services provides after hours call coverage 7 days a week.

The Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

Additional Information
The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
