Full-Time | 32 Hours/Week | Interventional Radiology & Cardiology

What You'll Do

As an RN on our Interventional Radiology & Cardiovascular team, you will:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical information
  • Assist with emergency patient care when necessary


Interventional Radiology & Cardiovascular Responsibilities

This position provides hands-on experience supporting patients in both Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Services, including:
  • Caring for patients undergoing Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Caring for patient undergoing Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization procedures
  • Providing and monitoring conscious sedation for patients undergoing invasive procedures
  • Preparing patients for Cardiac Stress Testing
  • Monitoring 12-lead EKG during Cardiac Stress Testing and recognizing basic dysrhythmias
  • Recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Working closely with physicians and procedural teams


What We're Looking For
  • Current Maine RN license required
  • Graduate of an approved Nursing program
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong IV insertion skills
  • Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
