RN - Endoscopy / GI | Level 3 | New YorkShift Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- On-call required for overnights and weekends
- 5 shifts x 8 hours OR 4 shifts x 10 hours
Job Duties
- Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns
- Observing patient vital signs
- Sedating patients before procedures
- Recovering patients after procedures
- Administering the necessary medication to patients
- Completing all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents
- Preparing the instruments, equipment, and supplies for the procedure
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use
- Providing assistance to Doctors throughout the procedure
- Administering IV drips
Requirements
- New York State RN License (NY license only)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of previous endoscopy procedure experience
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification
- Conscious sedation experience
- Expert IV insertion
- Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia
- Experience performing intake for GI procedures
