This is an office-based RN role within our medical group , not a hospital setting. You'll work in outpatient setting, focusing on patient education, follow-up, and care coordination, while still staying hands-on and clinically active. Your day will include a mix of patient calls, education, and clinical support-triaging symptoms, reviewing results, answering medication questions, and assisting with routine visits. This role is a great fit for a nurse who enjoys patient interaction, likes to stay busy, and values building relationships over time while balancing clinical care with organization and follow-through.
This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Clinical Educator role is responsible for the implementation of clinical and non-clinical education in the hospital. Develops, coordinates, and implements continuing education and in-service education for all clinical departments.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/BSN required. Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of two years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting required. Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of educational development and design preferred.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $40.06 to $54.20 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
