Where You Will Work:Join the 2MESG Team at St. Luke's South Shore in Cudahy, WI!This 28-bed inpatient unit specializes in caring for older adults-primarily patients aged 70 and above-while also serving individuals of all ages with cardiac and neurological conditions. You'll gain experience managing a wide range of diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, strokes, TIAs, and seizure disorders. If you're looking for a dynamic environment with diverse patient needs and a strong focus on compassionate care, 2MESG is the place to grow your clinical skills.
We're Looking For:- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You'll Do:- Deliver individualized care using the nursing process-assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.
- Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
- Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.
- Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

- Every 3rd weekend rotation - Day shift
- Holiday rotation
