Jeff Gordon Child Advocacy Center, a facility of Atrium Health Cabarrus, offers children, are places that advocate for abused children in our community. With a team of RN's, Medical Providers, a victim advocates, forensic interviewers and office personnel, the CAC team works closely with law enforcement, mental health, the District Attorney's office, and Child Protective Services to make sure abused children in our community have a voice.
We're Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- One year of Nursing experience
- Completion of a Forensic Interviewer Certification, or the ability and willingness to successfully complete forensic interview training within the first six months of hire.
What You'll Do: - As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- Conduct forensic interviews with alleged victims or witnesses of abuse, neglect, or other crimes, maintaining neutrality and objectivity throughout the process
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and social workers, to coordinate investigations and services
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions, staying updated on best practices, trauma-informed care, and legal protocols
