Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. - You will be responsible for the general well-being of the patient during the operative period
- You will act as the patient advocate, reviewing operative permit to ensure correctness of procedure. Functions as a member of the surgical team
- You will supervise care of the OR suite and equipment to ensures cleanliness, sterility, operation and availability of all necessary supplies and equipment and assists in opening sterile supplies
- You will prepare patient physically, mentally, and emotionally for surgical procedure and anticipates patient care needs during the procedure
- You will verify identification of patient according to person, chart, and ID band
- You will maintain awareness of OR schedule to ensure patient flow. Ensure timely turnover of room for next case
- You will assist anesthesia provider as required
- You will document and maintain patient record and chart to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment
What qualifications you will need:- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing. Associates Degree in Nursing or higher. BSN preferred
- Proficiency in surgical suite nursing procedures and skills required
- 2-year recent surgical suite experience, including major surgical procedures required
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
