Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Rehabilitation Services role manages and has oversight for both Lee's Summit Medical Center and Belton Regional Medical Center. The Director is responsible for integrating his/her departments' services with the hospitals primary functions.

The Director:

  • Coordinates and integrates services within his/her department(s) and with other departments.
  • Leads program growth and development initiatives.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
  • Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members (who are not licensed independent practitioners) meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services.
  • Provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education to all persons in their respective department(s).
  • Continuously assesses and improves his/her departments' performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.
  • Recommends space and other resources needed by the department and participates in selecting outside resources needed by his/her department(s).


What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate Degree in Allied Health field or Business Administration. Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration preferred.
  • Current Missouri PT, OT, or SLP Licensure
  • Current BLS certification required
  • One (1) year clinical related experience required
  • Two (2) years management experience preferred

Lee's Summit Medical Center is an 80+ bed full-service hospital. We serve Lee's Summit and surrounding areas. Our services are supported by more than 300 physicians who represent more than 40 specialties. We have more than 500 highly trained colleagues and 60 volunteers. Our services and specialties include cardiology, cancer care, endoscopy, emergency services, imaging, neurology, pain management, and pulmonology. We offer physical therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, sports medicine, respiratory care, women's care, and an array of surgical services. We have a dually-accredited Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. Our trained staff and experienced Medical Staff are ready to treat our community.
