We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA.
Earn: $43/Hour + Enhanced Pay Eligible (Extra $2/Hour, if opting in) + Shift Differentials + Benefits.
Shift: 1st Shift - 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM with every 3rd weekend (36 hours per week)
As an RN at Merakey, you'll play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Your responsibilities will include clinical assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Essential Job Functions:- Administer medications and treatments, including tube feedings and tracheostomy care, with precision and compassion.
- Perform nursing assessments on residents as needed to identify and address health issues promptly.
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care, keeping the nurse manager informed.
- Provide health education to residents and their families, including implementing self-medication programs as directed by the nurse manager.
- Conduct in-service training for staff to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence in care delivery.
- Communicate health issues with the interdisciplinary team, actively participating in staff meetings and monthly reviews with the QIDP.
- Complete quarterly assessments in a timely manner, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Fulfill duties as a charge nurse when assigned, carrying an emergency contact telephone, and responding as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of our program.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- Current license as an RN in the Commonwealth of PA.
- Preferably, at least one year of experience as an RN.
- Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
- Possession of a current and valid PA driver's license, along with reliable transportation (may be required).
- Ability to perform professional nursing duties including assessment, treatment, and medication dispensing.
- Physical capability to exert up to 50lbs occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs continuously.
