Qualifications

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses and BCLS certification required.
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in medical clinics essential.
• Flexibility to work in a busy environment with shifting priorities necessary.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle fast-paced clinical duties.
• High observational skills for quick and appropriate crisis response needed.
• Proven patient assessment capabilities mandatory.
• Effective patient/family education abilities required.
• Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision vital.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures and backgrounds mandatory.
• Positive attendance record required.
• Knowledge of a second language and understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion in health practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties within the Medical Day Care - Thrombosis Clinic.
• Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
• Educate patients and families on health management and clinic procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Adhere to all safety and health protocols in the clinic.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed.
