Sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 for eligible registered nurses
Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.
Check out our shift differential pay in addition to our base wage:
• An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• An additional $4.50 per hour for hours worked between 11:00pm - 7:00am

About the PositionAs a Registered Nurse for Maricopa County Correctional Health Services, you help fulfill the mission of providing medically necessary, evidence-based integrated health care to patients going through the judicial system. We Require- Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state
We Also Value- Experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical, ER, Urgent Care, or Psychiatric setting
Job Contributions- Provide assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Monitor the patient's progress and evaluate outcomes
- Perform standard nursing procedures appropriate to the patient's needs
- Complete and process all required documentation, including plans and discharge planning, in a comprehensive, objective, and legible manner
- Provide health-related education to patients as appropriate to patient needs
- Administer medication and address other pharmacological needs
- Perform basic intravenous and phlebotomy skills
- Participate in the orientation and training of new employees, contract staff, students, and others
Working Conditions- Ability to work inside a jail
- Ability to respond to emergencies
- Ability to get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney that may weigh up to 35 pounds
- Will be assigned to various clinical locations in the Phoenix area within a 5-mile radius
