Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED).
Degree in nursing and current valid nursing license in Ohio required.
Must work within Ohio State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
Current CPR certification is mandatory.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Completion of all annual in-service requirements is a must.
Responsibilities
Attend sick calls with physicians to assist with resident care and prepare examining room and equipment.
Contact physicians for medication, treatment orders, and emergencies.
Administer medication and ensure accurate documentation of treatment.
Examine and assess residents with illnesses or injuries and refer to emergency services as needed.
Maintain a clean work area, ensuring proper sanitation methods are used.
Implement cost containment and utilization management in patient care and facility operations.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Review medical files for accurate and complete documentation of services provided.

Essential Duties:
Attend sick calls with physicians to see residents, preparing examining room and equipment.
Call the physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.
Administer medication and accurately and completely document treatment as required by applicable policies and procedures.
Examine and assess residents with illnesses or injuries or residents who become ill or injured; confer with physician to refer residents to the emergency room as required by their condition and document in medical record or other forms as appropriate.
Maintain clean work area; use or direct the use of appropriate sanitation methods.
Practice basic cost containment and utilization management for patient care and facility operations.
Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules.
Review medical files to determine all provided services are documented accurately and completely.
