Provides lactation assistance to women and infants within the Benioff Children's Hospital, including but not limited to the Birth Center, who are attempting to establish or maintain breast feeding practices. Works to develop, implement and evaluate education around breast feeding for patients, families, and staff.
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

The total sum should add up to 100%.)QualificationsRequired Qualifications: - A minimum of 2 years of recent full-time clinical RN labor and delivery experience in an inpatient setting including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum and well baby.
- Carry out established nursing procedures, and perform nursing care for patients with complex needs.
- The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications:- BSN
- The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of recent nursing experience including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum, and well baby.
- Prior MedSurg, TCU, ICU, step down experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced EFM
