What is the opportunity?

This role in the Regional Senior Management provides leadership, coaching and development to a team of Integrated Markets sales professionals to support client acquisition, retention and growth, revenue optimization and excellent service to our clients. You lead the implementation of strategic initiatives, seek out opportunities and increase visibility and awareness of the RBC brand with governments, community groups and specific industries. Your priority is to lead your team and work closely with RBC partners to help the branch network maintain its market leadership. Your success in this role depends on your commitment to contributing to the success of our clients, employees and communities.

What will you do?
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and actively pursue opportunities across the region to enable RBC to consolidate its market leadership position.
  • Promote sales and management activities to maximize market input, deliver superior client experience, and increase employee capacity and engagement, while leveraging the full range of RBC resources, including working closely with key partners.
  • Providing market leadership, promotion and exposure to the RBC brand by building and maintaining a business network, as well as working closely with business leaders, influencers and community groups.
  • Manages business to achieve market and sales objectives while balancing operational and credit risk requirements.
  • Use and promote digital channels to clients, and ensure the team is doing what is necessary to enable clients to access RBC's digital services.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Strong track record in terms of sales management, coaching and training of employees
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial sector
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business and community networks
  • Successful implementation of major change-driven initiatives and proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience with new communication technologies (e.g. e.g., online meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile apps)
  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, coaching and people development skills
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer acquisition skills
  • Ability to manage all aspects of an entire operation, from revenue generation to market contribution
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong activity in business and community networks
  • Ability to grow the business while controlling expenses effectively
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience

  • 2nd cycle diploma an asset
  • Experience in commercial or small business services
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
