Full Job Description
As a Regional Sales Manager for High Liner Foods, you will be accountable for effectively managing the food service business covering New England States and Upstate NY markets. The key objective of this position is to grow food service sales within foodservice distribution houses and regional operators, including, but not limited to: Multi-Unit Chains, Large Independent Operator Accounts (EX. C&U, Health Care Distribution, Buying Groups) while managing and achieving budget targets. This is a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales volume, revenue, and contribution targets by growing sales of foodservice commodities and value-added seafood products through broadline distributors and operators.
  • Develop and execute customer growth strategies aligned with High Liner Foods' priorities and customer goals, using insight-based selling to drive sustainable growth.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities by maintaining in-depth knowledge of customers, competitors, brokers, and regional market dynamics.
  • Build customer and broker capabilities by attending food shows and leading product cuttings, broker training, and business reviews.
  • Manage pricing, trade spend, travel and entertainment expenses, and other sales-related costs to maximize financial performance and budget efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and complete timely CRM and trade management reporting to support effective planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, brokers, and stakeholders to meet customer needs and share actionable market and competitive intelligence from the field.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience with foodservice sales, broker network, or distribution sales, or chef experience. Seafood experience is a plus!
  • Strong knowledge of foodservice sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Strategic, independent, analytical thinker with the ability to make decisions and execute tactical plans.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven.
  • Highly organized, must have excellent follow-up skills.
  • Proven track record with growth.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 60% on occasion.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Solid computer skills, focusing on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
