Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager, Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders is responsible for driving profitable growth and strengthening customer relationships for the Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders business across the Wisconsin and Illinois regions and key adjacent markets. This role develops and executes regional sales strategies, manages strategic customer accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative flexible packaging solutions. The Regional Sales Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers while balancing commercial objectives, operational capabilities, and long-term business growth.

- Assess, develop, and execute Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders sales growth strategies that deliver organic growth, defend core business, improve profitability, and align with business objectives.
- Maximize revenue growth by aligning regional, national, and global interests with the Fresh-Lock® commercial strategy, market priorities, product support, and cross-functional planning.
- Identify customer, converter, CPG, OEM, and end-market needs; translate market feedback into business solutions, value propositions, and Innovative Fresh-Lock® closure solutions.
- Manage and direct the overall sales effort across CPGs, OEMs, converters, and international partners, including account planning, customer communications, long-term agreements, disputes, credit issues, business reviews, and ensuring outstanding customer support.
- Lead sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting in partnership with Product Management, Finance, Supply Planning, Operations, Customer Service, and other Commercial partners.
- Lead commercial growth initiatives in with converters and brand owners alike, focusing on key growth segments, primarily in the Wisconsin and Illinois regions.
- Effectively communicate with senior leaders, operations, packaging engineering, procurement, R&D, and other key stakeholders at existing and prospective customers.
- Partner with Product Management and Finance to manage resin-indexed and non-indexed pricing, customer quotations, margin management, and cost-to-serve opportunities.
- Ensure that inquiries, orders, quality concerns, service issues, trials, samples, and other customer communications are promptly and accurately handled; determine appropriate actions and escalations on quality, service, and technical problems.
- Lead key customer and prospect strategy development, including CRM discipline, pipeline reporting, trade show lead follow-up, customer segmentation and prioritization
- Monitor competitive threats, customer trends, market insights, sustainability requirements, and innovation opportunities; communicate updates to leadership on a regular basis
- Support consistent Fresh-Lock® brand positioning, including use of current domestic and international brand language, sales tools, product support library resources, and messaging

Qualifications
Education
- BS degree in Business or Engineering.
Experience
- 6+ years’ flexible packaging industry experience with a converter, packaging OEM, CPG, packaging supplier, or related B2B specialty materials business.
- Prefer 5 years’ direct customer-facing experience in packaging industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with reclosable flexible packaging, including zippers, sliders, closure systems, pouching applications, or related packaging technologies.
- Packaging development, polymer science, product management, technical sales, or related B2B commercial experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and business reporting platforms; Power BI experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technical aptitude related to flexible packaging materials, package construction, closure performance, pouching equipment, and customer application requirements preferred.
- Ability to use market insights, customer feedback, forecasting data, and profitability analysis to prioritize growth opportunities and make sound commercial decisions.
- Strong, dynamic, strategic leadership skills are required.
- Ability to travel regularly (approximately 30%) on an overnight basis.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be team oriented with ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
- A self-starter who likes working with minimal supervision.
