Description

The Rudolph Libbe Group of companies is hiring an experienced Regional Safety Manager to join our team in Northeast Ohio. This position is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and consistent implementation of RLG's safety program across assigned regional offices and project sites. Working under the direction of the Assistant Safety Director, as well as closely with the Field Operations Manager, the Regional Safety Manager serves as a trusted safety leader, technical resource, and advocate for associates, trade partners, and field leadership. This role may include direct supervision of safety personnel and requires regular interaction with project teams, regional leadership, and company safety leadership.

This regional role supports a diverse portfolio of work demanding strong leadership, coordination, and execution.

This position plays a key role in strengthening RLG's safety culture by providing visible leadership, reinforcing consistent expectations, and partnering with field and operations teams to embed safety into everyday planning and execution. Through coaching and proactive engagement, the Regional Safety Manager helps facilitate an environment where safe work is valued, reinforced, and continuously improved.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Oversee and manage the implementation of RLG's safety program within the Northeast Ohio area

-Perform jobsite safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

-Champion RLG safety initiatives and ensure consistent application across projects

-Serve as a trusted advisor to regional project leadership, by providing guidance on safety planning, risk mitigation, and compliance matters

-Investigate incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures

-Develop, schedule, and deliver safety training and new hire orientations

-Participate in pre-job planning, project meetings, and safety planning activities

-Serve as a regional liaison between site teams and corporate safety leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and collaboration

-Promote professional relationships with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, industry partners, and trade partners

SKILLS

-Ability to lead, influence, and engage field and operations personnel at all levels

-Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices

-Experience developing and delivering effective safety training programs

-Clear, professional communication and relationship-building skills

-Ability to analyze incidents and trends to drive corrective actions

-Capable of working independently while collaborating with leadership

-Willingness to travel occasionally and work varied schedules as project needs require

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience in the construction industry

-Minimum 5-10 years of construction safety experience

-30 Hour OSHA certification

-CSP, CHST, or similar certification preferred
