ABM is on the hunt for a Regional Safety Manager to support one of our top-tier clients-and this is no desk job. We're looking for road warriors who thrive in a fast-paced, "startup-style" environment and are ready to drive change across multiple sites.

🌎 Territory: Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Florida

In this high-impact role, you'll: Lead the planning, coordinating, and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) objectives to develop and drive safety effectiveness at all the client sites. A strategic partner to operations leadership, ensuring the integration of EH&S principles into daily operations while driving continuous improvement, incident prevention, and a strong safety culture across the region. This role plays a key part in maintaining EHS programs and supporting the execution of national strategic safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the client's EHS team to help ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Support the implementation and execution of EHS programs across client locations by coordinating onsite activities.
  • Ensure timely reporting of all EHS-related events involving team members, including injuries, near misses, safety concerns, and good catches.
  • Assist in promoting and communicating safety policies with a strong focus on incident prevention and risk reduction.
  • Support efforts to ensure subcontractors working on-site meet required safety training and qualification standards.
  • Participate in site-level risk assessments and hazard evaluations led by the client's EHS team.
  • Assist in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for tasks and help implement appropriate control measures.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety inspections, audits, training sessions, and meetings to help evaluate and improve safety practices.
  • Conduct and support incident investigations, including identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements for staff, including logs, training documentation, and regulatory compliance materials.
  • Support the rollout of safe work practices, training programs, and compliance initiatives.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safety values and behaviors aligned with company goals.
  • Stay informed of applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations and assist in maintaining compliance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the region on all EHS-related topics.
  • Travel expectation: Ability to travel within the region as required to support client locations and operational needs. This can be up to 70%.


Qualifications

Education
  • BS/BA in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • NFPA 70E and NFPA 101 (preferred and required post-hire).

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in an EHS-related role, preferably in a support or specialist capacity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Facilities Management (FM) background.
  • Hazardous Waste Accumulation and Storage (preferred)

Additional Requirements
  • Experience with hazardous waste accumulation and storage (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience contributing to injury reduction and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay:$100,000.00 - $120,000.00

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
