Job Description

We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Regional Manager to oversee molecular and cytology sales in the Southeast region. This individual will lead a team of sales representatives, drive regional growth, and build strong customer partnerships to achieve business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Direct staffing, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and career development planning for Account Executives
  • Develop and achieve accurate forecasts quarterly
  • Assist Account Executives where appropriate in direct sale of products
  • Work with marketing department to promote customer laboratory demand
  • Develop regional business plans and strategies
  • Work collaboratively with District Sales Manager and Regional Diagnostic Specialist in coaching joint Diagnostic Sales Specialist (DSS)/Account Executive (AE) Business Planning and activities
  • Work collaboratively with Field Applications Manager, Field Service Manager and Medical and Scientific Affairs to ensure proper support of laboratory customers
  • In conjunction with Area Director, develop regional focus areas for Regional Diagnostic Specialist.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product
  • Monitor expenditures of region to confirm to budgetary requirements

  • Proven ability to motivate and direct sales team to meet goals and objectives through influencing representative behavior.
  • Weekly travel required.
  • Since this position requires you to drive extensively during the work day, a valid driving license and driving record satisfactory to the Company, as well as a serviceable vehicle available for work use is mandatory.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience, MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 5-7 years medical or diagnostics sales experience required
  • Previous management experience desired
  • Progressive sales experience that includes formal or informal leadership responsibilities, with a demonstrated ability to influence performance and drive results through others. Examples may include coaching or mentoring peers, onboarding and training team members, leading initiatives, or serving in a sales team lead capacity.

The total compensation range for this role is $245,000 to $265,000 This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota.
