Summary

As a pivotal member of the Celestica Global Logistics and Trade Compliance team, this position will be responsible to drive and implement the strategic logistics vision and operational procedures to Celestica manufacturing sites in the US, with a dedicated focus manufacturing sites located in the Richardson / Fort Worth, TX area. The Regional Logistics Manager will take on the leadership role to drive, develop, and optimize logistics requirements to seamlessly support the manufacturing sites, customer demands and global supply chain management initiatives.

Detailed Description

Key responsibilities include:
  • Key logistics liaison with supply chain management and Site Customer Teams to develop strategic logistics solutions
  • Provide operational support for both inbound and outbound logistics requirements as needed
  • Drive and optimize inbound and outbound operations by monitoring and supporting transportation requirements, lead times, minimizing expenditures, and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support and at times lead contract management with regional third party logistics suppliers
  • Support and help develop robust reporting tools to monitor logistics tasks and key performance indicators (KPIs), along with providing actionable observations
  • Support and lead initiatives to drive logistics productivity savings and service improvements
  • Support all areas of Global SCM on product transfers and logistics scenario cost modelling including TCOO
  • Support and drive Logistics education and development by participating and leading targeted Logistics and Supply Chain educational and development programs in the region
  • Contribute to annual logistics budget planning, aligning demand requirements to carrier allocation needs to support the logistics procurement team with capacity and forecasting models.
  • Enforce strict compliance with global logistics, trade regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Self-directed professional with a proven track record of driving projects from conception to execution.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge and experience in Internatonal and North American and global freight transportation, utilizing advanced warehouse management systems (WMS),Transportation Management System (TMS), and understanding foundational trade compliance terms and concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end global logistics supply chain networks, international freight forwarding, and inventory management.
  • Ability to understand and develop logistics cost models and analyzing financial metrics to minimize total landed cost.
  • Ability to manipulate and audit large data sets using MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data visualization).
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional problem-resolution skills, with a track record of driving operational improvements with global and regional third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Broad operational knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry, managing global logistics networks, understanding of production schedules, MRP, forecasting, and reverse logistics/repair flows.
  • Executive Communication & Presentation: Elite verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present logistics data, performance KPIs, and strategic roadmaps to executive leadership.
  • Ability to prioritization and multi-task, with a proven history of successfully supporting multiple concurrent, high-priority logistics initiatives in a fast-paced environment.


Physical Demands

  • Sitting for extended periods while using a computer.
  • Occasional walking through manufacturing floors or warehouse environments (may require PPE such as safety glasses or ESD smocks).
  • Ability to travel (domestic or international) to other Celestica sites, 3PL's, or customers


Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

Typical Experience

The ideal candidate possesses 10 to 15 years of progressive logistics management experience, paired with a robust command of SAP/ERP systems and core supply chain functions. Expertise in domestic and international transportation, warehouse management, and fundamental trade compliance principles is required. Additionally, a strong background within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or repair sectors-specifically regarding contract execution, inventory control, and order management-is highly desirable.
