Job Responsibilities:

The Regional IT Manager – North America serves as the primary liaison between Global IT, the Group, and the Divisions within the region. This role is responsible for maximizing the value realized from IT assets, investments, and capabilities by identifying regional needs and aligning technology solutions to business priorities. The position works closely with the Global IT Director to support Group and Division objectives and ensure effective delivery of IT services and initiatives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

•    Drive adoption of established standards across Divisions within the region.
•    Work with the Global IT Director to develop and execute the IT strategy for the Exteriors group office and all Divisions.
•    Build relationships with key business stakeholders across the Group and Divisions to understand strategic direction, operational needs, constraints, and opportunities.
•    Identify opportunities for IT to better support the business and position IT as a trusted delivery partner.
•    Maintain strong visibility within the Global IT organization by participating in regional Group and Division business meetings and management forums, and serve as a central point of coordination for related IT activities.
•    Act as the voice of the Exteriors Group in North America and its Divisions to the Global IT Director.
•    In partnership with the Global IT Director, assess emerging technologies and innovation opportunities that could benefit the Group and its Divisions.
Operations
•    Work closely with regional leaders across the assigned Group and its Divisions to support technology planning, advise on the use of existing technologies, and ensure alignment with the Group’s global strategy.
•    Maintain detailed knowledge of key IT services and manage regional demand for IT projects and services in alignment with the IT portfolio and the Group’s global priorities.
•    Prioritize cost-saving initiatives within the region by working with each Division to identify opportunities, support implementation, track results, and extend successful practices across other Divisions.
•    Play a proactive role in defining service level requirements.
•    Ensure software license compliance within the region.
•    Oversee technology programs and projects delivered by Global IT within the region to ensure expected outcomes are achieved, including:

-Monitoring project status
-Providing guidance on approaches to resolving project issues with program-level impact
-Identifying and managing cross-project dependencies
•    Advocate for the North American region and its Divisions by responding quickly to urgent issues, driving resolution, and escalating as needed.
•    Evaluate, prioritize, and authorize change requests.
•    Review and approve ESE and North America Division capital expenditures.
•    Review and approve purchase orders and IT expenses for ESE.
•    Recommend appropriate staffing levels for Division IT teams.
•    Support the recruitment, interviewing, and development of new Divisional IT Managers.
•    Support Divisions in evaluating the annual performance of IT Managers.
•    Ensure Divisions comply with Magna’s business continuity policy.
•    Support testing and continuous improvement of business continuity plans at the Division level.
•    Conduct annual IT reviews with IT Managers and Division staff, including program launches and IT budgets.
•    Support and coordinate greenfield and brownfield projects.
•    Review and approve IT costs for the ESE and Casmir group offices, including annual budget preparation.
•    Provide guidance and support for internal and SOX audits.
•    Support the GSM in achieving security compliance objectives.
•    Review and authorize demand management activities for North America projects.
•    Escalate Division IT tickets to Global IT as requested by IT Managers.
•    Support MES and ERP project implementations.
•    Assist with the organization, planning, and execution of offsite meetings and training sessions.
Performance & Measurement
•    Establish performance and conformance targets for process goals and metrics.
•    Analyze and report performance against targets.
•    Ensure corrective actions are implemented.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education
•    College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
Experience
•    A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the manufacturing industry.
•    Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
•    Experience supporting a high-paced 24/7 operating environment.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business processes and operations, along with the strategic use of technology to support business growth.
•    Demonstrated program management skills, including planning and control processes.
•    Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
•    Ability to understand, communicate, and present complex business solutions.
•    Ability to communicate effectively up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focusing on the right information.
