Summary

You will serve as a Regional Integrated Prevention Coordinator in the Family Readiness Division of HDQTRS NDW.

Duties

Help

  • You will provide programmatic oversight of all components of the Integrated Prevention Workforce (IPW) within the Region.
  • You will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training education and outreach for integrated primary prevention programs implemented at the Region and installation levels.
  • You will support the development of methods and techniques required for prevention program execution, leveraging academia, research and industry as needed.
  • You will advise region and installation leaders on prevention programs, resources, and activities and is the recognized authority in overseeing the strategic direction of prevention efforts.
  • You will provide consultative advice and works closely with relevant stakeholders (i.e. Chaplains, Command Resilience Teams (CRTs), Command-Managed Equal Opportunity (CMEO) Managers, etc.,.)
  • You will identify efficiencies in the development of and delivery of primary prevention ensuring occupational health, social and organizational psychology, public health and/or other behavioral and social science perspectives for prevention planning

  • You may be required to complete an Access National Agency Check Investigation (ANACI) and contain no convictions of sexual assault and domestic violence.
  • Incumbent must comply with safety standards identified in the various work environments such as safety equipment, safety shoes, hardhat, eye and hearing protection, etc.


Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as an advisor and technical prevention expert to military leaders and installation prevention personnel, help establish prevention activities and programs at installations and within commands; identify new programs and leverage existing capabilities to establish a Region-wide prevention system that facilities data-informed actions to integrate primary prevention activities, coordinate with stakeholders, measure impact, and adjust programs based on resulting data; using prevention knowledge and experience to develop, evaluate, and assess prevention approaches that can help the military reduce suicide, sexual violence and other harmful behaviors.

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social science equivalent to a major in the field.

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in that field
