Description
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, labor laws and company policies. This role partners closely with EVP, Strategy & Operations and leadership to support workforce stability, employee engagement, and operational excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage all core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and investigations
Primary responsibility for the Texas region, with the flexibility to support other states and regions as business needs evolve
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation requirements
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on HR policies, employee issues, and workforce planning
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to support staffing needs
Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs) and coordinate with benefits vendors as needed
Support compensation, benefits, and payroll processes in partnership with internal teams or external providers
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Lead or support HR projects related to policy development, training, engagement, and organizational improvements
Coach and support managers on performance management, accountability, and leadership best practices
Promote a culture of professionalism, compliance, and respect aligned with the organization's mission and values
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources role
Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
