Description

We9re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Regional General Manager to lead our Golden Triangle, TX and Baton Rouge, LA markets. This role is responsible for Operations performance, market revenue, market culture/organizational health, and overall market position in the assigned region.

Duties & Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership
  • Overall responsibility and leadership for operations and sales in assigned market
  • Attend and contribute to Management Team Meetings / Each market9s voice at the senior management level.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline organizational expenses and increase company margins
  • Contribute to RTI and Industry events as necessary (Summit, AFPM, AICHE)
  • Steward organizational health through addressing issues quickly and effectively within the Operations Teams
  • Initiate organizational changes and hiring needs in market

Market Leadership
  • Direct supervision of Director of Operations roles in assigned market.
  • Manage all compensation for team: Salary Reviews, End of Year Bonus, etc.
  • Prioritize workload and advise on work assignments for planning and execution responsibilities
  • Create individual development plans and communicate expectations regularly to each Director of Operations
  • Review Operation Manager progression plans with each Director of Operations and assist in developing progression plans as needed.
  • Review and approve Director of Operations vacation requests, expense reports, etc.
  • Challenge Director of Operation9s and Operations Manager9s with new, unique field assignments and continuing education responsibilities (SCU etc.)
  • Promote safety culture and safe work practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation

Project Oversight as Needed
  • Communicate clear project quality expectations
  • Work with Director of Operations to ensure detailed project reviews are completed
  • Ensure adequate staffing assigned to each project
  • Provide management field support for key applications
  • Identify and network important learnings that would be beneficial to other markets.

Client Relationships
  • Establish relationships with key decision makers and Leadership Team individuals in all accounts
  • Actively solicit client feedback to ensure expectations met and secure future business
  • Actively support Client Lessons Learned Meetings and ensure Lessons Learned are communicated throughout the Operations Teams

Business Development
  • Build relationships and promote RTI9s services at key strategic accounts
  • Request Business Development support from Operations and Business Development team to ensure priority coverage
  • Participate in client events and other customer entertainment activities
  • Track competition9s activities, including projects success and failures and communicate internally

Infrastructure
  • Coordinate/support RTI9s Market assets - offices, trucks, trailers, etc.
  • Request additional resources per organizational growth plans

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Perform Injury-free projects and model / promote RTI9s Safety Commitments
  • Daily demonstrate RTI Core Behaviors and Mission Statement
  • Present clear direction for Operations team - all employees should know the strategy and how they need to contribute
  • Facilitate a strong Operations Managers teamwork attitude with the rest of the entire RTI team.
  • Produce Outstanding Client Feedback. Always solicit feedback and respond quickly to any concerns.
  • Meet project9s Criteria for Success
  • Obtain full payment of invoices by client
  • Obtain repeat business; develop loyalty in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills; continually seek to improve personal leadership skills.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor9s degree (Engineering or Business-related field preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years9 experience in sales, operations, technology, and/or product management with proven technical and business acumen in portfolio
  • Minimum of five years progressive management experience

  • MBA preferred

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

  • Work is executed both in an office setting and in industrial sites. Most of the management, planning and review work takes place in the office, with some site work as well.
  • When on a project execution, will be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather and be on your feet for a 12-hour shift.


Travel Requirements

  • Travel expected for this role is estimated at 30%.
