Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Finance Director reports directly to the Sr Regional Director of Finance and serves as a key business partner to regional operations leadership. This role provides financial analysis, operational insights, forecasting, pricing support, and strategic recommendations to drive profitability and operational performance across multiple facilities. The position works closely with other Regional Finance Directors, Sales, and Accounting teams.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support regional COO and the operation teams for all financial aspects
  • Support the sales team in determining customer pricing through customer profitability analysis and financial modeling.
  • Support human resource team through union contract renewals by preparing labor cost models and financial impact analysis.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting that support business metrics and discussions, including daily metrics reports: volume processed, labor productivity compared to budget and historical trends.
  • Prepare, review and distribute weekly facility-level P&L reports
  • Prepare monthly operation reviews with supporting schedules.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and identification of business risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Accounting Team during month-end close process, including providing accruals, tracking utility costs and capex vs R&M expenses determinations.
  • Partner with Ops teams to evaluate capex requests through ROI, payback, and other financial analyses.
  • Assist the Accounting Team in plant asset verification process


QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
  • At least 5 years' experience with financial reporting
  • 15%-20% travel is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint.


Computer / Technical Skills / Job Specific Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus (vlookup, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting)
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, written, email) for varied internal and external audiences
  • Flexible time management with shifting priorities and multitasking


Work Hours:

  • Typically a Monday - Friday work schedule; however, may include working on the weekends or during Holidays for project completion. Hybrid model of (3) days in office, and (2) days WFH.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to bend, reach and lift to 25 lbs.
