The Role
The Regional Director of Finance serves as a strategic finance resource supporting Hyatt's global hotel portfolio and Hotel Finance organization. This role partners with Hotel Directors of Finance, General Managers, Regional Functional Leaders, ownership groups, and corporate stakeholders to address complex business challenges, improve financial performance, strengthen operational effectiveness, and support key organizational priorities.
Acting as a flexible resource across regions and disciplines, this position is deployed to support high-priority business needs, including hotel performance initiatives, financial integrity reviews, strategic projects, operational assessments, organizational development, process improvements, and other initiatives as determined by Hotel Finance leadership. The role leverages financial expertise, operational insight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable business results across Hyatt's portfolio.
This position is responsible for supporting business goals by providing support in areas such as Financial Integrity and Performance, Hotel Acquisitions, Analytics, and other special projects. The position will ensure consistent application of finance policies & procedures through a collaborative partnership with the Hotel Directors of Finance, Corporate Finance Groups, Lead Director of Finance, and leadership within the assigned projects. Including:
• Lead and support special projects, strategic initiatives, and business priorities as assigned by Hotel Finance leadership. Partner with hotel leadership teams and regional functional leaders to develop, monitor, and execute action plans designed to improve hotel profitability, operational effectiveness, guest experience, and overall business performance
• Conduct financial, operational, and organizational assessments to identify opportunities for improved business performance, operational effectiveness, and financial results.
• Partner with Hotel Directors of Finance, General Managers, Regional Functional Leaders, ownership groups, and corporate stakeholders to address complex business challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support hotels and regional teams through detailed analysis, project leadership, performance improvement initiatives, and operational reviews.
• Conduct financial integrity and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to Hyatt policies, management agreements, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among hotel, regional, and corporate teams to drive execution of key business initiatives.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, business reviews, capital planning, and strategic decision-making through analytical insight and recommendations.
• Lead or participate in organizational, process improvement, systems, reporting, and transformation initiatives across the Hotel Finance organization.
• Identify and promote best practices that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and financial performance throughout the portfolio.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and developmental support to Hotel Directors of Finance and finance teams as appropriate.
• Travel international across the Americas is required to support business priorities and strategic initiatives.
• Traveling up to 50%
• Focus on modernization, Special initiatives, and cross-functional projects
• Ensure Management Agreement terms, Uniform System of Accounts, Hyatt Standard Operating Procedures, and standard Accounting Principles are followed by all assigned hotels, providing direction and guidance
• Must be proficient and comfortable with technology - particularly in the use of Hotel Finance
• Management systems, Excel, Oracle and Hyperion a must
• Any other duties specified by the Vice President of Hotel Finance
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
• 10+ years progressive hotel finance experience (Hyatt experience preferred with Hyatt)
• Prior Director of Finance experience at a full-service, luxury, resort, or complex hotel
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional business initiatives and influencing hotel performance
• Experience includes owners' communication, preparing budgets, business partnership with other key roles
• Experience in more than one hotel in different countries (internationally) or states (US) across multiple brands
Experience Preferred:
• BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance or Hospitality preferred

The salary range for this position is $142,000-$175,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
