Full Job Description
This position has critical input to our evolving organization, with responsibility for the development of member relationships consistently across the region designing robust experience centers exceeding member expectations while taking an active role in building a collaborative environment with a people first approach, providing strategic direction and leadership to a team of key contributors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct management, development, and guidance of branch teams, whose primary responsibility is focused on member retention, developing member relationships through increased household services, and acquiring new relationships. Educator, driver and leader of responsible growth strategies to support the member population. Leverages key metrics to design short-term business plans to improve productivity, revenue, and member experience.
  • Builds and retains a collaborative and cohesive environment, leading a motivated, high performing branch management team, who are proficient and effective in activities. Provides branch support and backup in the branch manager's absence. Conducts branch and staff observations, including branch visits to support the credit union's objectives. Provides effective feedback and coaching to enhance leadership growth and career pathing. Conducts performance reviews with abilities to diagnose performance gaps, help others identify the right solutions, and commitment to influencing performance behaviors in a positive way.
  • Coordinates and facilitates ongoing frontline training with the training department, other managers and vendors to ensure staff is knowledgeable of credit union products, core system functions and capabilities, ability to properly operate system components, comprehension of processes and procedures, and effective implementation of service and sales skills. Ensures staff are utilizing the tools and skills provided to deliver exceptional service and build member loyalty.
  • Ensures that all branches are in compliance with credit union regulations and procedures, federal and state laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies. Ensures branch compliance with all security, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures. Takes appropriate steps to correct unsatisfactory conditions or violations.
  • Monitors branch budgets, operations and activities to identify opportunities for enhancement of policies, process, procedures, products and pricing. Develops and makes recommendations for these improvements to maximize cost, efficiencies and provide consistent quality service to members.
  • Represents the branch network and/or participates in credit union, community and select employee group functions as appropriate.
  • Prepares monthly branch reports and completes projects and assignments within timelines. Attends scheduled Leadership meetings and trainings.
  • Develops and promotes sound working relationships with all credit union departments.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills

Experience

5+ years actively leading and guiding a performance culture, with proven management skills in leading multiple teams and job groups 5+ years working and actively engaged in building partnerships and influencing others, with a proven track record of sales leadership with demonstrated capabilities, expertise in coaching, goal setting and performance management. 3+ years' experience in sales management strategies, with strong record of performance 10+ years working in financial services, credit and/or sales environment Strong business acumen

Education/Certifications/Licenses

A college degree required.

The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.

FULL TIME POSITION

Starting Range: $82,961.88 - $92,838.29

Full Range: $79,011.31 - $118,516.97

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (full coin bags). Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
