Are you a strategic financial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment? We're seeking a
Regional Controller - Canada to partner closely with senior operations leadership and shape the financial performance of our restaurant portfolio across the region.
This is a high-visibility role with direct influence on profitability, forecasting strategy, and operational performance.
What You'll DoStrategic Partnership• Collaborate with the Regional VP and operations leaders to drive financial performance and deliver actionable business insights.
Financial Leadership• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Operational Impact• Translate complex financial data into clear, practical recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
• Support site-level leaders with financial tools, cost management strategies, and performance optimization.
Team Development• Mentor and guide finance team members while partnering with corporate finance leadership.
Mobility & Collaboration• Travel approximately 25% within Canada to support operations and strengthen cross-functional relationships.
QualificationsEducation & Experience• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive corporate accounting/finance experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
• Food & beverage, hospitality, or multi-unit retail experience strongly preferred.
• CPA designation (or working toward) is an asset.
Financial & Technical Expertise• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and cost analysis tools.
Leadership & Communication• Ability to influence and build strong partnerships with operations leaders.
• Skilled at communicating financial insights to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
