Recreation & Facilities Manager

The District of Vanderhoof is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Recreation & Facilities Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Public Works & Engineering, the Recreation & Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operation, maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance of the District's recreation facilities, parks, public buildings, and related infrastructure. The position provides leadership to unionized staff, manages departmental budgets and resources, ensures compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, and supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and accessible recreation and facility services.

The Recreation & Facilities Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Vanderhoof Arena, parks, playgrounds, trails, campground, cemetery beautification, public open spaces, and District-owned buildings, including (but not limited to) the Aquatic Centre, Library, Airport, Courthouse, and other municipal facilities. The position also oversees facility maintenance programs, service contracts, recreation bookings, asset management, and capital planning.

This exempt position offers a 2026 salary range of $100,078 to $121,271, based on a 40-hour work week, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
