RATT Lead - Amphibious (Diesel) Team in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Position SummaryThe Diesel RATT Lead serves as the senior propulsion subject matter expert responsible for assessing diesel-powered amphibious ships and associated engineering systems.
Responsibilities- Conduct readiness assessments of diesel propulsion plants.
- Evaluate engineering operations, maintenance programs, and equipment reliability.
- Review maintenance records and casualty trends.
- Support fleet readiness and maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to ship leadership and maintenance organizations.
Qualifications- Minimum 15 years of supervisory Navy engineering experience.
- Extensive EOOW experience aboard diesel-powered ships.
- Deep knowledge of diesel propulsion systems and auxiliaries.
- Experience with Navy maintenance organizations and readiness assessments.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 25+ years of experience highly desired.
Occasional travel may be required. Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience.Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.The position description is only meant to be a representative summary of the major responsibilities and accountabilities performed by the incumbents of this position.
