Rate & Fiscal Analyst

HOURS :

Full Time Position (39 hours per week)

SALARY & BENEFITS :

$38.45 $49.98 per hour. Complete package of fringe benefits including Vacation and Sick Leave, Health Insurance, 17 paid Holidays, and CalPERS Retirement. Travel allowance for field work.

JOB SYNOPSIS & QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY :

Under general supervision, provides technical assistance to Community Services staff in preparing provider cost and rate proposals, requests financial information from providers to prepare minimum wage and other rate adjustments as needed to comply with administrative requirements. Maintains knowledge of current working requirements and regulations. Serves as backup for high level Administration Division clerical accounting and management positions. Duties include, but are not limited to - Conducts on site audits of service providers and prepares written reports; May review independent audits submitted by providers and prepare related regulatory reports; Provides financial technical support to staff, prepares or reviews costs statements, self-determination budgets and rate calculation information. Requires equivalent to Four-year degree in accounting, information systems, business, or related field or four years of financial and data analysis experience. Completion of introductory financial and managerial accounting courses. Work experience using spreadsheet and data base query software. Microsoft Excel training preferred.
