Full Job Description
Position Title: Board Certified Radiologist (1.0 FTE)
Location: Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, 2501 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105
The Board Certified Radiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive, onsite diagnostic radiology services to eligible veteran patients at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. The radiologist will interpret and report on a broad range of imaging studies and perform radiology procedures in accordance with VA and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret general radiology, fluoroscopic procedures, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, general nuclear medicine and SPECT/CT, computed tomography (CT), CT angiography (CTA), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MRI angiography (MRA), ultrasound, and bone densitometry (DEXA) studies.
• Provide timely, accurate, and complete written interpretations and reports in the VA's electronic health record system.
• Communicate critical and significant findings directly to referring providers as required.
• Participate in patient consultations and collaborate with VA staff, technologists, and other clinicians.
• Adhere to all VA policies, procedures, and performance standards, including those related to patient safety, privacy, and infection control.
• Maintain all required documentation, including timekeeping and compliance with credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities as required by the facility.

Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Meets all VA credentialing and privileging requirements as outlined in VHA Directives 1100.20 and 1100.21.
• Proficient in the use of PACS and electronic health records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
