Full Job Description
What You'll Do Day-To-Day
Evaluate all aspects of the Radiation Protection Program through audits and provide critical input into the program design, modification and implementation.
Review procedures and processes to ensure ALARA methodology has been incorporated; approve radiation work permits; certify radioactive waste shipping manifests; administer radiation safety training program.
Interact with management and regulators on radiation safety program implementation.
Conduct planning meetings with company and/or customer personnel prior to start of work to discuss dose estimates and radiological issues associated with various tasks, mock-up use, and shielding/scaffolding needs.
Perform analysis/evaluation on output of modeling software; evaluate spectral analysis for material disposition.
Serve as a liaison between company management and customer Radiation Protection (RP) representatives.
Act in a lead role within the group and may provide training and direction to less experienced professionals within the group.
What You'll Bring

Salary: $99,000 - $134,000 per year, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
