R&D Project Manager - Power Distribution

We are looking for skilled and motivated R&D Project Manager to join our global R&D organization. Our team is responsible for the development of medium and low voltage power distribution products and systems for both indoor and outdoor applications. This position will be based on-site in Wendell, NC.

You'll make an impact as you:
  • Support R&D design leaders in defining, planning, and managing R&D projects through all development phases.
  • Oversee and track project scope, timeline, milestones, and budget to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across various product groups in the medium and low voltage domain.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early; escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution.
  • Facilitate meetings, reporting, and project reviews to ensure alignment with global R&D objectives.
  • Promote a team-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset that fosters innovation and accountability.
  • Handle complex organizational structures with confidence and clarity.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, or other technical field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience in an R&D, product development, or engineering environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile, SAP).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of medium and/or low voltage power distribution systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
