Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Technology Manager Instrumentation

As Instrumentation R&D Manager you will lead a team of experts, globally distributed, developing and maintaining our leading portfolio of flow computers and remote controllers. Reporting to the Global Instrumentation Business Line Technology Manager, you will drive execution of new product development projects, fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.

The work model for the role is: Onsite in Bartlesville, OK. #LI-Onsite

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Acquiring and developing the proper competences in the R&D team, attracting and retaining talents to support the development of future products and systems, as well as the long-term strategy of Business Line Instrumentation.
  • Ensuring timely and on-budget execution of R&D projects, assigning competent resources, monitoring progress, taking corrective actions when necessary and ensuring the Product Development Process follows the required quality standards.
  • Working with Product Management to define the product and technology development roadmap. Planning an optimal project portfolio for the team, overseeing efficient project execution, in close collaboration with the Global Business Line Technology Manager.
  • Ensuring smooth cooperation with other R&D teams in the global division, sharing results and best practices.
  • Supporting manufacturing and service to understand root cause of problems and solve quality issues. Promote active collaboration with all the functions beyond R&D, to ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) execution.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineer is required, however, aMaster's or Doctorate in Engineering is preferred; preferably in computer science or electrical engineering
  • 12+ years of industry experience including R&D management or project management of large R&D projects is required; 5+ Years of senior-level people management and technology management experience is required
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills, enabling to reach alignment between peers and multiple stakeholders in our organization, both in the local unit and in the global team
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in managing teams dealing with large software projects. Experience and awareness of modern software technologies and development methodologies
  • Awareness about HW design, industrial measurement technologies and systems, as well as flow-computer applications would be an advantage
