Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible for being the direct Quality Assurance interface between departments, performing the Quality System activities needed to maintain the Business Management System, which includes collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to quality and process effectiveness along with providing recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the accuracy of documented procedures, corporate reporting, and supporting the maintenance of a documented business systems management.
  • Reviews, coordinates, and approves supplier defect data between plants and provides feedback to Plant Quality Managers, Suppliers and Supply Chain regarding their performance by:
    • Generating periodic reports on the performance of key suppliers utilizing data from the NCR database and MRP system. Provides reports to Plant Management, Quality Managers, Supply Chain, and others as applicable.
    • Makes recommendations to help improve the overall quality of purchased materials and services.
    • Conducts Supplier Surveillance Audits to evaluate their ability to consistently provide quality compliant materials on time.
    • Partners with Supply Chain with the vetting of new suppliers.
  • Provides training and support (both on-site and virtual) to all Plant Quality Managers on the following topics: Corporate processes and reporting, Corrective action and Root Cause Analysis, internal auditing, prep. for external audits, management reviews, etc.).
  • Ensures the proper issuance and handling of corrective/preventative actions, recommendations for improvement, customer complaints, conducting proper root cause analysis and development of effective action plans to resolve issues.
  • Audits each plant's methods and lab personnel to verify consistency between plants to ensure reliable results while making recommendations based on findings.
  • Leads the improvement and maintenance of the ISO Business Management Systems, which includes performing audits, reviews, and updating documentation.
  • Leads the plant review process to discuss status of reports, supplier performance, corrective actions, etc. with Plant Quality Managers, Supply Chain and others as needed.
  • Identifies, assists, and approves BMS-related training programs.
  • Functions as a Lead Auditor for certified ISO requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • B.S. or B.A. in related field required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business or technical field.
  • ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 Lead Auditor.
  • Proficiency with Mini-tab or other statistical software.
  • AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish (English & Spanish fluency)
