Job Description:Job Description: Quality SupervisorLocation: WatertownReports to: Quality ManagerWhat you'll do:Lead quality execution on the production floor and ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements. Own quality issues from identification through containment, root cause, and corrective action.
Key Responsibilities- Lead response to customer and internal quality issues, including containment, root cause, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Direct in-process and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Lead problem solving with engineering and operations to identify root cause and implement corrections
- Ensure inspection of incoming materials, components, and finished products meets requirements
- Analyze and report quality data to identify trends and drive improvement actions
- Develop and maintain inspection methods, standards, and documentation
- Manage non-conformance processes, including documentation, escalation, and resolution
- Support supplier quality issues and follow up on corrective actions
- Provide updates in daily operations and weekly Quality Review meetings
- Reinforce expected quality behaviors, including stopping work when standards are not met
- Hire, train, and develop team members within the Quality Department
- Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities
- Coach performance and support team development
- Address employee concerns and resolve issues
- Drive accountability to quality standards and performance expectations
What you'll bring:Basic Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing
- 2-3 years of experience in quality, quality assurance, or operations
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and quality systems
- Experience with root cause and corrective actions (8D, 5 Why, CAPA)
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.3 weld standards
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings (GD&T preferred)
- Experience with measurement tools and inspection methods
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methods
- Associate's degree or technical training, or equivalent experience
Salary: The salary range for this position is $76,500-$93,500. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
