About the role:

The Quality Strategy & Innovation (QSI) role leads the site Quality transformation agenda and helps ensure alignment across site, regional, and global Quality priorities. As a strategic partner to the Site Quality Head, this role focuses on transformation, capability building, and value creation to strengthen Quality performance, operational efficiency, and compliance.

How you will contribute:
  • Translate global and site Quality strategy into clear, actionable plans for the site.
  • Lead the Quality transformation roadmap and support prioritization of the improvement portfolio including resource alignment.
  • Partner with Business Excellence and cross-functional teams to drive execution and track progress.
  • Lead site-wide Quality transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use data, digital tools, and innovative approaches to improve ways of working and results.
  • Identify capability gaps and help define future-ready Quality capabilities.
  • Support deployment of the Agile Operating System and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Champion a strong Quality culture and a learning mindset across the organization.
  • Act as a change agent to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team, Quality Leadership Team, Operations, Business Excellence, and DD&T.
  • Represent Quality in site transformation, innovation, and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to site, regional, and global stakeholders.
  • Support quality budget planning, oversight and resource planning to transformation priorities and drive financial discipline.
  • Help develop the Quality talent strategy and capability-building agenda.
  • Support development of Quality talent strategy and capability-building program.


What you bring to Takeda:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or biologics manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP principles and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting transformation, strategy deployment, or continuous improvement in Quality, Operations, or Business Excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation or continuous improvement initiatives, understanding of lean operations
  • Experience working with digital, data-driven, or improvement-focused initiatives is an advantage.


Important Considerations:

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$154,400.00 - $242,550.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
