Job Description:Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Quality Multi-Function Manager, FPI to join our team based in Kinston, NC.
You will be part of a team monitoring full adherence to the various manufacturing and quality processes within our facility to ensure compliance with the stringent quality and regulatory standards in the aviation industry.

Your Working Environment:The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:- Lead/directs quality organizations or provides cross-functional quality integration leadership.
- Manager of Quality personnel within assigned functional area.
- Establishes, oversees, and administers processes, policies, and best practices, and determines resource requirements, acquisition, improvement plans and quality measures.
- Reviews production schedule and assigns work to facilitate completion of tasks and product movement in accordance with established schedule.
- Interfaces with other organizations, external suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to define, evaluate and communicate accomplishment of project and program priorities through all phases in the product or service life.
- Provides organizational vision and strategic plan, quality policies, processes, and procedures, as well as process improvements and prevention measures.
- Communicates, educates, trains, and coaches' customers, suppliers, and internal personnel.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into production and sourcing processes.
- Train and mentor quality team members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and ongoing development.
- Provides cross-functional leadership and Quality technical expertise.

Your Boarding Pass: - Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering / methods, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
- Certifications in quality management, aviation safety, or regulatory compliance preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% to domestic and/or international customers or suppliers
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of aviation Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, and FOD programs, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams through all levels of the organization and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- High degree of flexibility and initiative.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English, which is required for operating in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.
- Proficient in Manufacturing tools (MES) and quality management systems (QMS) used in manufacturing environments.
Preferred
- Associates degree in aviation, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
- 10 years' experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering / methods, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
- Certifications in quality management, aviation safety, or regulatory compliance preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with enterprise quality management software
- Must be willing and able to work any shift, overtime including weekends and holidays when needed.
- Experience with aerospace-specific tools such as SAP, MES systems, and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Rarely able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
- Carrying: Weekly able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: Weekly able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Pushing / Pulling: Several times a month able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
- Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: Daily able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
- Travel: Once or twice a year able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking (including routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
- PPE Required: Safety glasses, bump caps and safety-toed shoes must be worn when on the manufacturing floor.
