Full Job Description
Purpose of the job
Provide leadership and manage all aspects of the Quality Team.
• To ensure high quality of products received by external and internal customers.
• To work with Operations to produce high quality products and reduce internal non conformances.
• To ensure quality systems and certifications are in place and strive for improvement on these systems.
• To work with customer to resolve quality issues and align internal actions to meet customer quality requirements.
• To ensure proper management of Quality audits.

Main responsibility areas
• Represent the Company during customer and supplier visits.
• Perform internal audits of the quality management system (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001)
• Use computer systems, including but not limited to word processor, spreadsheets, presentation software and company developed programs.
• Support production activities as needed.
• Manage Held Goods - Determine disposition of held good/returned goods and document in system.
• Be a member and/or leader of continuous improvement teams.
• Effectively utilize resources that are not directly under her/his control to achieve both individual and team goals.
• Maintain inspection system (calibration, software, licenses, etc....)
• Identify areas that need improvement and recommend changes or implement corrective actions.
• Sponsors and/or leads multi-functional groups to achieve project and team objectives.
• Supports the business's safety, environmental, productivity and quality objectives.
• Follows all environmental and safety procedures.
• In USA, ensures compliance with GMP and FDA regulations where applicable.
• Supervises Quality Assurance team and provides direction as required. Reviews and develops staff performance on a regular basis.
• Interfaces with all levels of management to report results.
• To collaborate with production, purchasing and suppliers to ensure right raw material, services, and finished products quality.
• To determine organization's quality objectives and goals.
• To develop and implement plans to achieve organizational goals.
• To assist sales, research and development and manufacturing groups to find solutions that will lower internal waste and external claims.
• To lead and develop quality team according to Ahlstrom leadership expectations.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
• Always represent the company in a professional, ethical, and moral manner.
• Initiate/participate in advanced quality-planning activities (ex. Design & Process FMEA's, Identification of Key Characteristics, Capability Studies, Product Validations, etc. ...)

Experience and education.
Work experience.
1. Two years of experience with quality in a testing or manufacturing environment.
2. Computer literate - Microsoft Windows/Word/Excel and Company Software. Experience in SAP, Order Plan preferred.
3. Excellent professional, written and verbal communication skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and statistical skills.
5. Experience in a team-based environment.
6. High level of initiative and independence in managing responsibilities.
7. Detail oriented.
8. Willingness to work weekends and/or travel as needed.
9. Ability to learn without a lot of direction.
10. Able to prioritize and multi-task.
11. Exceptional organizational skills; punctual on completing tasks.
12. Experience in quality preferred. (Testing experience, held good disposition, experience in COA's, ISO 9001, GMP, document control)
13. Skilled on computer (MS office suite/Lotus Notes a plus).
14. Knowledge of statistics preferred (Six Sigma Experience a plus)
15. Works well with both production personnel and management; ability to talk to customers and/or suppliers.

Formal education

Bachelor's degree in related discipline

Combination of education and experience shall also be considered for requirements.
