Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Leetsdale, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $95,000-$105,000.00
Responsibilities- Serve as point of contact with staff, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective actions, while identifying opportunities to improve overall quality performance.
- Act as ISO representative and maintain the organization's ISO certification status.
- Establish and maintain quality standards and requirements for product development and manufacturing in alignment with ASQ Code of Ethics.
- Function as the main Quality Assurance point of contact for department supervisors on problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in concurrent engineering initiatives, representing Quality Assurance and the customer in design development projects.
- Implement and promote quality standards, inspection processes, test methodologies, quality plans, documentation, and reporting.
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting metrics.
- Report quality issues, trends, and losses to management.
- Lead internal, external, customer, and supplier quality audits.
- Prepare and deliver training materials on quality standards and related activities.
- Maintain calibration of measuring equipment and gauges in coordination with an outside lab.
- Support continuous improvement projects across departments related to quality assurance and incoming inspection, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Maintain QA/QC data within an ERP system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of QA/QC experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) certification by ASQ required within one (1) year of hire.
- Current CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) certification by ASQ required within three (3) years of hire.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards, quality system methodologies, and common statistical tools.
- Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems required; SAP experience a plus.
- Knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
