Title:
Quality Manager

KBR is looking for a Quality Manager to support a major LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) project by leading the implementation and execution of the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and established quality management systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing quality programs on large LNG, petrochemical, refinery, gas processing, or other major industrial construction projects and possess a strong understanding of construction quality processes, inspection programs, supplier quality, and turnover requirements.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Manage day-to-day execution of the project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities throughout construction, mechanical completion, commissioning, and startup phases.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise quality personnel, inspectors, auditors, and field quality representatives.
• Oversee implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and inspection programs.
• Coordinate quality activities covering:
  • Civil and structural construction
  • Mechanical equipment installation
  • Piping fabrication and installation
  • Welding and NDE/NDT activities
  • Electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Module fabrication and assembly
  • Mechanical completion and turnover

• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, preventive actions, and root cause investigations.
• Monitor contractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Support supplier and vendor quality surveillance programs.
• Coordinate internal and external quality audits for contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Ensure quality documentation, turnover records, inspection reports, and certification packages are complete and accurate.
• Track and report quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to proactively resolve quality issues.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent construction experience.
• Minimum 10 years of quality management experience supporting LNG, petrochemical, refinery, gas processing, power generation, or heavy industrial projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality leadership role on major capital projects.
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, and applicable industry codes
  • Welding and fabrication quality requirements
  • NDE/NDT inspection methods
  • Supplier quality programs
  • Inspection and test planning
  • Mechanical completion and turnover processes
  • Commissioning and startup quality requirements

• Experience managing contractor and subcontractor quality performance.
• Strong understanding of quality documentation and record retention requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary quality teams in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Direct LNG project experience strongly preferred.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent certification.
• Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Experience supporting EPC, EPCM, or owner-led project execution models.
• Familiarity with modular fabrication yards and international supply chains.
• Experience on projects exceeding $500 million in total installed cost.
