Quality Manager

The Quality Manager promotes, develops, and oversees compliance of the company quality system, monitors and develops systems, methods and practices to improve; 1) customer satisfaction and 2) cost of quality. Assure compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.

As a Quality Manager you will:
  • Ensure compliance with the customer requirements, quality policy, company standards, regulatory and external standards.
  • Measure and improve customer satisfaction and cost of quality.
  • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Develop and implement the Quality led APQP activities specified within company process to assure quality from concept to production.
  • Effectively interact with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain product supply and introduction of new products.
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of supplied materials.
  • Work directly with customers to support quality requirements.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure quality product.
  • Write technical and management systems reports.
  • Bring together staff of different disciplines and drives the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
  • Manage and improves the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
  • Set Quality compliance objectives and ensures that targets are achieved.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Facilitate analysis and coordinates activities related to process/system improvement projects.
  • Determine staffing requirements to meet quality and delivery expectations.
  • Maintain operations data and prepares productivity/quality reports for management.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of team engaged in quality functions • including inspection, analysis and training.
  • Make final determinations or dispositions related to non-conforming materials.
  • Monitor indicators related to ensuring employees conform to production or processing standards.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends by attending conferences and training courses.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Has 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality or similar role.
  • Is a Lean Six Sigma Black belt or Master Black belt
  • Is a statistical Problem Solving (Red X) Trainer
  • Has Baldrige framework experience
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with peers and internal and external customers.
  • Possesses strong problem solving skills (Lean six sigma, red-x, 8D, etc)
  • Has strong change management skills
  • Possesses knowledge of MS Windows, Word, Spreadsheet and project applications is required.
  • Has the ability to travel overnight 10 to 20% and on occasional weekends.

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $96,555 • 145,000 annually.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
