POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Manager will lead the site Quality team (Quality Inspectors and Engineers) to improve both internal and external product quality and foster a Quality First culture across all teams. This person will own all aspects of site quality including but not limited to interacting with customers and ensuring timely resolution of issues, working with suppliers to improve product quality and working closely with other departments to ensure product and process compliance to ISO procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage site ISO certification process. Develop, revise and update Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Quality Documentation Structure and Quality Systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015 requirements and other Quality certificates
  • Review all quality related cases from customers, supports root cause investigation, ensure implementation of countermeasures and timely submission of reports in required formats (e.g. 8D)
  • Generation and reporting of quality KPIs (both internal and external)
  • Develop and manage inspection and quality control plans for both incoming material and finished goods. Develop process control procedures and ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards
  • Lead efforts to improve supplier Quality by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Procurement and R&D/Engineering.
  • Works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Applications and Sales team to improve quality and manufacturability of both new and existing products
  • Lead material review board (MRB) reviews and other Daily Management (DM) activities
  • Assist in developing DFMEA and PFMEA for manufacturing processes and new products
  • Provide Quality leadership to the manufacturing team to ensure customer and quality expectations are met
  • Visit customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality problems
  • Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Support continuous improvement activities focused on reducing defects, scrap, and rework, and enhancing overall product and process reliability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with an Engineering focus, Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience required with focus on quality
  • ISO experience
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
