Job DescriptionYou will be the Quality Engineering Associate Manager for the Program Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for delivering high-performance missile hardware and launch-vehicle systems that meet the toughest quality standards.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for leading quality initiatives that ensure our missile hardware exceeds rigorous performance and reliability requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead cross-functional quality engineering initiatives to guarantee missile hardware meets stringent performance criteria.
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and validation methods.
- Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Partner with program management to align quality objectives with schedule and cost targets.
- Analyze root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to sustain product reliability.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in science, technology, engineering or math; or equivalent education and experience
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; and therefore must be a US Citizen
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
Advanced knowledge of quality systems, demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis skills
Well versed in GD&T, interpreting drawings and standards
Experienced in using various inspection measurement tools
Ability to work with and around explosives
Desired skillsSTEM degree at Bachelors level or higher preferred
Manufacturing experience
Knowledge of Aerospace standards: AS9100, AS9102, AS9103
Working knowledge of SAP
Working knowledge of root cause and corrective action processes
Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
