Volt is immediately hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer in San Diego, CA.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:
- Review supplier data to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Review non-conforming parts in MRB (Material Review Board) and determine appropriate dispositions.
- Monitor and report on supplier defect rates; guide suppliers in corrective actions.
- Support suppliers in implementing process improvements and quality assurance plans.
- Participate in supplier quality improvement activities, working with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels.
This is a full-time - long term temp, possible temp to hire role.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5am plus overtime, with some flexibility of starting earlier. This is a full-time onsite position at the San Diego facility.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor of Science degree (e.g. Engineering, Industrial technology, Manufacturing Technology)
- Extensive experience in supplier quality, manufacturing standards, and quality assurance.
- Technical knowledge and exposure with shop operations and manufacturing processes
- Experience using quality / statistical tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, PPAP, RCCA)
Pay Rate: $38.00 - 42.00 Per Hour DOE
