Full Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our Hingham, MA. facility.

As a Quality Engineer within the world's most respected manufacturer of automatic transfer switches and power control systems you will manage in-process and final inspection plans, drive internal nonconformance investigations, and own plant quality programs. The work that you do will make the world a safer and more reliable place for our customers: think hospitals, data centers, utilities, mass transportation, and other aspects of life as we know it that need reliable power systems. You will be contributing to the solution of the world's growing need for dependable critical infrastructure.
You will make an impact by:
  • Driving quality control and assurance in our assembly and manufacturing process.
  • Developing and improving FMEA and control plans for manufacturing processes.
  • Implement tools and controls to improve first pass yield.
  • Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues with cross functional teams.
  • Supporting production by making quality-related decisions and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with the engineering and operations departments to improve product design and manufacturability.
  • Driving cross functional teams to improve Cost of Quality, FPY and Warranty costs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality, engineering, or manufacturing related role.
  • Understanding of quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), ISO 9001 standards, and production process verification.
  • Problem-solving skills with experience applying 8D methodology, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and SAP (or similar ERP system).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma and ASQ Certification preferred. Black belt is a plus.
  • Experience with automatic transfer switch equipment and industrial power control systems

The pay range for this position is $100k - $135K annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
